The common ancestor was Mareen Devall, a 17th century immigrant from France. I'm sure there's plenty of other folks who spring up on that timeline, but none of them had so little going on in their lives that the only news to report was their relationship. At most you are 52nd cousin to anyone -- genealogist and social scientists did the checking and scientific crap and that's what they figured out.
