Deadlock

It was a shock to rejoin my fellow jurors yesterday and see that they had deadlocked on voting the counts against the defendants. Mistrial, case dismissed.

Yep, three weeks of selection, testimony, evidence, and arguments, and in the end, nothing has happened. Will the DA pursue the case? Will there be another group faced with figuring out the truth of the matter? One thing is certain - I do miss having lunch with the other jurors, wandering around downtown in search of eats.
