Rap is about bragging, bravado, and bluster. So when Rico Todriquez Wright says he shot a man twice, he can't help that he felt so good about it that he wrote a song describing the shooting. Or calling out the victim by name. Which is exactly why a judge sentenced Rico Todriquez Wright (that's such an awesomely stupid and funny sounding name I have to use it in full whenever I can. It's almost to good to be real and sounds made up. I mean really...Todriquez?) to spend the next 20 years in prison after his victim mentioned the hip hop confession to police.
Chad Blue told police he had known Rico Todriquez Wright before the September 2006 shooting, but that the men weren't friendly. He testified companions egged Rico Todriquez Wright on as he chased and shot his victim in the thigh and groin. Later, Blue told police he recognized Wright's voice on a CD, rapping "Chad Blue knows how I shoot." Plus he did know how Rico Todriquez Wright "shoot".
After Rico Todriquez Wright's 20 years for two counts of aggravated assault, he will spend another 20 years on probation. But being a stupid dipshit? That's for life.
