Is this the indicator of how the season is going to be?
Vaunted 2005 draft pick (3rd overall) and Kings defensive cornerstone Jack Johnson (not this one) is out for two to three months after he was hit hard late in the first period of yesterday's game. Damn it! He took a single shift in the second period before leaving the game, and expectation was that Johnson would emerge as the team's top defenseman this season. He's only 21, so he'll likely bounce back as quick as possible, but still, that totally sucks. I don't know squat about Kyle Quincey, but if Detroit had him, he might be alright as he gets added to shore up the defense.
Gonna miss stuff like this for a little while...
