Swervedriver

Because the radio plays the perpetual Linkin Park loop and the newest Weezer garbage, I am forced to find other forms of music that are good. And thus, Swervedriver was (re)discovered.

The English alternative rock / shoegaze band was active most of the 90s, and only recently reunited to tour. Their sound was frequently compared to Sonic Youth, The Stooges, Dinosaur Jr, Catherine Wheel, My Bloody Valentine, and Ride. I'm happy to have found a good, old band that I'll have a chance to see - they stop off at The Roxy November 3rd.
