Buff Squat Thrust

File under not very impressive.

Aditya "Romeo" Dev, is just 2-feet 9-inches tall, lays claim to the title "the world's smallest bodybuilder." The 19 year old, who lives in Punjab, made it into the Guinness Book of (Useless) Records in 2006. While most dwarfs have comically large heads compared to their bodies, which are also in strange proportion, Romeo (because really, you know he deserves the nickname) is correctly proportioned in the triceps, biceps, calves and thighs. And we use the word "correctly" with a grain of hesitation, considering he's still less than a yard tall.

"I've been training as a bodybuilder for the last two years and by now I think I must be the strongest dwarf in the world," said Romeo. Not much of a boast there, but I guess you have to look at the positives.

Romeo is famous in his home country, and his father has spoken of his pride in his son's determination to overcome any difficulties in his path. "He has never been bothered at being so small. He has no inferiority complex. He is the jewel of our family." And you know that's true. People have never pursued bodybuilding because of inferiority issues or negative body image. They just like drinking protein powder shakes and figure they ought to reap the additional benefit by maybe lifting a couple of weights here and there...
