Megan Fox 1986-2010

Transformers 3 will have some new eye candy, now that Megan Fox has been dropped from the third. Rest in peace, you piece of ass.

Paramount Pictures announced that Fox's option "was not picked up" for the sequel, and declined to give further details or say who would replace the "actress". Fox's publicist did not fire back until late in the evening, claiming "it was her decision not to return." Sure. She really wanted to branch out from getting an easy paycheck for looking pretty in a blockbuster film.

Variety reported the studio and the director Michael Bay, intend to case another actress as Shia Labeouf's love interest to move the story in a different direction. Yes, a direction away from Megan Fox. In line with her predilection for making attention-grabbing comments to the media, she engaged in a public spat with director Bay around the release of last year's sequel, but Bay later defended her and said he looked forward to working with her on part three. "Megan Fox, welcome back," he wrote on his blog last October, "I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture." And the best way to avoid that is to keep her off the set entirely.

The film is slated for a July 2011 release, and the previous films tallied over $1.5 billion worldwide. Last year, Fox was the titular (like how I did that) character in Jennifer's Body, which only made a disappointing $16.2 million domestically. Add that to the sickly gross for 2008's How To Lose Friends & Alienate People, and outside of the Transformers franchise her films have barely made what Michael Bay spends each week on hookers and blow.

Fox will be in Jonah Hex coming out in June, and has a few projects in various stages of production according to IMDB, but that also lists Tranny 3, so just wait to see how many of those don't materialize. Her career, which didn't have a huge lifespan anyway, is now pretty much over.
