TVoogle?

Because Blogger is actually an off-shoot of Google, I am mandated to report on their newest venture - Google TV.

To try and keep it simple, they're packaging the Google Chrome browser with "Sony and Logitech to put Google TV inside of televisions, Blu-ray players and companion boxes". Nice corporate synergy. Anyone else involved? "These devices will go on sale this fall, and will be available at Best Buy stores nationwide." Nice. And using Itel processors and the next generation of Adobe's Flash, it's an awesome coalition to take on, yep, Apple (and their Apple TV)

Gizmodo does a solid job explaining the presentation (
Google TV Combines TV, Android and All of the Internet), but this is a condensed version in one press-release perfect run-on sentence:

It's a software platform that Logitech, Sony and DISH will support that works with your existing cable/satellite box, that works just like a Google search, that combines the web with TV, that combines your TV with your phone, that runs apps, that supports Flash. (all of those expanded upon here).

Unlike the Apple version, which, just like is the Apple way, is a format and realm onto itself, Google cleverly chose to have their system integrate, so you can add it to your existing home entertainment set up. And by partnering with major manufacturers in their respective fields, they have the infrastructure and specialization that only requires platform to cross over. Sure, that sounded pretty much like a marketing department quote, but take a look at one of the hardware components and you'll see what I mean.

It's what Apple was going for, but Google and partners look like they could pull off...
