Uncomfortable Adolescence

In Charles Burns' awesomely twisted indie comic Black Hole, a mysterious STD transforms horny high schoolers into otherworldly freaks.

Teenagers who get "The Bug" become freakish outcasts, condemned to live in shantytowns in the forest. Photographer Max Oppenheim and prosthetic artist Bill Turpin did this shoot for
