Dead Matthews Band

LeRoi Moore, saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band, died of complications from injuries he suffered in an all-terrain vehicle accident at 46.

Moore was initially readmitted to the hospital July 17th from complications that arose from a June 30th wreck. It was not disclosed what the actual cause of death was. The band went on with its show Tuesday at the Staples Center, where Dave Matthews acknowledged Moore's death to the crowd after the first song.

"It's always easier to leave than be left," Matthews told the crowd. "We appreciate you all being here." Saxophonist Jeff Coffin had been sitting in for Moore during the band's tour. Anybody else notice Moore replaced with a guy named Coffin? I'm just saying...
