Don't have a Guitar Hero guitar to mod? How about using that old PS2 controller (standard, knockoff, or wireless) for a similar purpose? When hooked up, MIDIATOR it will allow you to do things like control pitch bend with the analog joysticks or trigger notes / toggle controller signals with the buttons.
