He's Movin' On Up
Paul Benedict, who played English neighbor Harry Bentley on the The Jeffersons, has died at 70. Benedict was found dead Monday on Martha's Vineyard (which sounds strange, like it should be "in" or "at") and his brother, Charles, said authorities were still investigating the cause of death. Foul play? Oh, that would be so bloody English.
He began his acting career in the 60s with the Theatre Company of Boston, alongside such future stars as Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino. That's a pretty steep drop off between those three and number four. But can any of them boast co-staring with Sherman Hemsley?
