Glenn Shadix will be best remembered for his portrayal of Otho, the metaphysical designer in Beetlejuice, as to a lesser extent the parrish father who presided over a rash of "suicides" in Heathers. He died yesterday his home in Birmingham at 58.The actor's bio credits numerous TV appearances, including Seinfeld, and over 30 films - including others for Tim Burton like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Planet Of The Apes. His website also describes him as a photographer and gay rights activist (shock!).
A cause of death was not immediately known, but his sister told The Birmingham News that he had been using a wheelchair for mobility and appeared to have fallen in his kitchen and struck his head. A memorial will be held on Saturday.
