Security, Pornography And A Butcher's Knife

Bands have legendarily asked for anything and everything in their demands on tour riders, so why should it be any different for the reunited Faith No More? And why would they take it seriously? Take their recent shows in Chile...

• A clue to their mood reflects in the number of people coming with them - according to show promoters, they have asked for rooms for 20 crew members and for 30 relatives and friends.

• For the band, the backstage area must have several kinds of wine, scotch, and champagne, plus sushi, pizzas, and some local dish. This is specified because Mike Patton was there in March with the Italian trio Zu, and went to couple of typical neighborhood restaurants (his preferences - local dishes and seafood, with a pisco sour).
• When it comes to towels, Faith No More specify that they must be “spongy” and for make a reference they send a full-size image of a white bunny.

• Naturally the guys want to keep informed of what happens in the US while staying in Chile, so they must have available, The New York Times, USA Today, Time and Newsweek magazines.

• Also, Anglo papers The Guardian and The Sun. Not that any of them are Brits...maybe they just revere our colonial mother.

• Additionally under "literature” on their request list, they request several porn magazines - specifically ones “as extreme as possible and hopefully, local.” This is the same for all countries on their Second Coming Tour.

• The band asks for a butcher’s knife. Their use is not specified.

• Because Chilean fans are very passionate, the band asked for bodyguards for each member in the hotel and for their stage appearances.

Perhaps the demands will change next year, as the band confirmed that plans are being made to finally tour the US.
