Grammy-winning (?) rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession in and is to be sentenced to a year in prison. Not only do we get one less year of rap, but these baby thugs can finally meet some real hard-ass niggas in jail.Dwayne M. Carter Jr. will remain free on $30,000 bail likely until his sentencing hearing in February.
Police said a gun was found on his tour bus in Manhattan in 2007. He previously had pleaded not guilty to the gun possession charges, which carried a sentence of 3 1/2 years behind bars, but the rapper ended up signing a plea agreement with prosecutors after police used a DNA profiling technique to tie him to the gun found on the bus.
Normally, that's where the story would end, but in the interest of keeping it real, here's a little personal tidbit. Lil Wayne is expecting his fourth child. The mother is singer Nivea, ex-wife to The Dream (that's retarded). The Dream is Christina Milian's new husband. And if that's not enough, know that it is the third son in about a year for the rapper.
