Reddish

The holiday marketing machine is in full swing and everything is turning red, green, and white. Today I noticed that on the bottom of my Starbuck’s cup their holiday website - itsredagain.com. Huh? All it is is another marketing campaign, this time in the guise of a chain letter. Worse than the annoyance of possibly being on the receiving end, it made me think of all the different folks who were edged out of using that site because the corporate coffee giant grabbed it up.

King Crimson
I'm still waiting for an album since the prog supergroup toured on their 2003 release The Power To Believe. What about the current electric-minded configuration reach back 33 years to their Red album and reinterpret the music. With only founder Robert Fripp as the pivot, there's no question that their present quartet would attack it with a different sound.

The Republican Party
With less than a year to the presidential election, talk of red and blue states will become more and more heated, but where will the conservatives rally? On the Fox News site? No, they whiffed on grabbing the prophetic site that could have been a rally point for what is for sure going to be a hard victory to achieve.

The producers of a Red Dawn sequel
C'mon, that's a no brainer. The Russians invade the U.S. for a second time, and you know that's exactly the last thing we'd expect. Granted, we would not be treated to more C. Thomas Howell or Patrick Swayze since their heroic deaths make a return difficult. But could be the vehicle that returns Lea Thompson to fame...

Tampax
All their dry commercials about it's your time and it's your period are lacking some clever ad fire. Why not freshen things up (no pun intended) and just say "it's red again"! Imagine the nods of understanding and compassion as women hand off tampons to each other as the sisterhood of menstruation grows.
