Bob Probert, On Ice

He earned 3,300 penalty minutes in 935 games, but it was who he punished to get them which built his legend, and made Detroit and Chicago teams to fear during his 16 year career.

Yesterday afternoon, Probert was on his boat in Lake St. Clair with his family, including his four children and in-laws, when he began experiencing serious chest pains. Fire and EMS crews met the boat and began performing CPR on Probert, whose past abuse of substances and alcohol have been well documented. He was 45.

Puck Daddy also has a three part tribute to his brutal, best battles.
